If you are using a contact form plugin such as Contact Form 7 on your WordPress website then you might be having trouble with the emails which are not going into your inbox instead the WordPress Emails going to Spam Folder. This is fairly common problem with emails that are sent from a website via PHP. I was facing this issue on one of my websites . I had to look into the Spam folder to see the contact us form emails and even the reset password links.
How to fix it?
The solution is to use your own email address e.g. GMAIL via the SMTP. You would need the SMTP plugins to direct all WordPress emails using SMTP instead of the default PHP settings which can be found: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/
Consider these Options while filling that you would need if you use GMAIL.
Gmail SMTP port (SSL): 465
Gmail SMTP TLS/SSL required: yes
By doing this small fix, the problem of emails going to spam should be resolved.
